Front Beach Sidewalk Repairs

Front Beach Sidewalk Repairs, Phase III project is kicking off. This project consists of the south section of the sidewalk between Washington Avenue and Jackson Avenue, adjacent to Chester McPhearson, Jr. Pier. As well as the sections between the sidewalk and the drainage channel from Washington Avenue to the harbor.
The center sidewalk from Front Beach Dr to Chester McPhearson, Jr. Pier, will remain open. However, the foot print for this project includes the surrounding sidewalks within this area. Therefore, it will impede one fire pit, which the city is working to set up a temporary fire pit for any rentals within the project timeframe. Also, one of the volleyball nets will be unusable, which the city is working on setting up a temporary volleyball net to accommodate the public.
The contractor will be staging equipment and material along the project site as well as on the Fayard Property. Construction fencing will be going up around the laydown area and the construction site. Please be mindful of the construction during this project.
