Alderman Karen Stennis is serving her first term on the Board of Alderman.
Alderman Stennis is a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs where she was a12 year student in the Ocean Springs School District. She attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, University of Southern Mississippi where she received a BS degree in Health Physical Education and Recreation. She also received a MS degree from William Carey College.
She worked for the Ocean Springs School District for 11 years, Pascagoula School District for 2 years and for Mississippi Community College for 19 years before retiring in 2019.
Alderman Stennis is currently serving as an assisting alderman to Human Resources for hiring and Insurance.
She has lived in Ocean Springs for 60 years, cares deeply for this city and intends to help make it a great place to live and work for its citizens.
