Welcome to the Department of Human Resources & Risk Management
The City of Ocean Springs Department of Human Resources and Risk Management is led by Director Mindy McDowell. Our office is located in City Hall on Porter Avenue.
Human Resources involves personnel issues including job postings, new hire processing, drug testing, employee benefits, and much more.
Risk Management includes managing multiple insurance products, incident response, and legal issues. In this arena, we are responsible for:
- Insurance management including property, wind, fleet, liability, worker's compensation and unemployment
- Liability and risk management including all facets of worker's compensation, liability claims, court cases, insurance, medical separation, and various other factors affecting risk
